Health Tips For Preventing Dysentery




In Monsoons/Rainy season Dysentery disease is very common problem for any age group. By doing a little effort and giving proper attention towards it we can prevent ourselves from it. I am trying to provide some health tips for reducing the risk of DysenteryDysentery is an infection of the intestine. It is caused by an amoeba called Entamoeba histolytica. 



Symptoms Of Dysentery :-

  • Stomach pains
  • Continuous watery motions 
  • Vomiting
  • Rectal pain
  • Fever 
  • Nausea 
  • Bloody diarrhea
  • Weight loss
  • Weakness
  • Dry skin and mouth
  • Thirst
  • Low urine output
  • Dehydration




Causes Of Dysentery :-


Entamoeba histolytica amoeba is responsible for the disease Dysentery. It is usually transmitted by water or food. 

  • Dirty fruits and vegetables
  • Dirty water
  • Human feces used as fertilizer
  • Through dirty hands of infected people
  • Swimming in contaminated water





Treatment Of Dysentery :-


If anyone finds that he/she is affected with Dysentery then he/she should contact Doctor. Doctor can control this disease very well. We can use oral rehydration therapy. We should use properly cooked food and cleaned water. Drink plenty of fluids.




Home Remedies For Dysentery :-

  • We can use Lemon juice. 
  • We can take onion with curd.
  • We can use Mint - Ginger juice. 
  • We can also take fresh juice of cucumber leaves with coconut water.
  • Papaya is also good.
  • We can take Bael fruit.
  • We can tale Pudin Hara.




Prevention & Precaution From Dysentery :-


  • Try to avoid to in contact with infected person.
  • Avoid to swallow water in swimming pools, pond and rivers etc.
  • Wash your hands after using the toilet.
  • Wash your hands after contact with an infected person.
  • Wash your hands before eating or preparing food.
  • Don't share towels.
  • Drink purified water.
  • Avoid to eat raw or under cooked food.
  • Avoid to raw vegetables like Salads.
